Travel Documents
Kenyan citizens can travel within the EAC using:
- National ID card - accepted at most EAC borders
- Kenya ePassport - accepted at all EAC borders
- EAC passport (48-page) - designed specifically for EAC travel
No visa or eTA is required for travel between EAC member states. Citizens enjoy freedom of movement and can stay for extended periods.
East African Tourist Visa
The East African Tourist Visa (USD 100) allows foreign tourists to visit Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda on a single visa. Apply at etakenya.go.ke.
